night and day
The earth is going around the sun. The sun shines on the earth. When
the sun is shining on the other side of the earth it is day on that side. When
it is day on that side it is night in New Zealand.

This is why we have night and day. Night is when it is dark but
on the other side of the world. The world spins around in a circle around in
space. This is why on the left side it is light. And on the right side it is
dark .Night is time for people to sleep. In day time people wake up.

The sun makes day and night.
First the earth spins and that makes day and night. It does this
because the sun shines on the earth when it spins. The sun shines in day and it
is at the other side of the world when it is night here.
